Dr. Kolstad is an orthopedic surgeon who has been seeing patients at Columbus Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Clinic since October 2020. He specializes in treating hips, knees and shoulders, and prefers to treat problems non-surgically whenever possible. He takes deep satisfaction when he is able to restore his patients’ health and eliminate their disability.

Dr. Kolstad earned his undergraduate degree at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, then received his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington, Connecticut. He completed an orthopedic residency at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine Lenox Hill Hospital Program in New York City. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and has a Subspecialty Certificate in Orthopedic Sports Medicine, also from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
