Orthopedic SurgeonShawn Brandenburg, D.O., joined the Columbus Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Clinic as an orthopedic surgeon in September 2019.
A native of Columbus, Dr. Brandenburg received his undergraduate degree in biotechnology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2005 and completed medical school training at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 2013. He then completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Metro Health/University of Michigan Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 2018, and finished a one-year adult reconstructive surgery fellowship at the Abrazo Community Health Network in Scottsdale, Arizona, in July 2019.
Dr. Brandenburg’s general scope of orthopedic surgery includes robotic-assisted surgery, hip and knee replacements, orthopedic trauma and general orthopedics. His subspecialty focus includes knee and joint reconstruction such as total knee or total hip replacement.
